‘Twas two weeks until Christmas, and Sandy was stewing
Just thinking of all the opportunities a brewin’
The Carnival of Money Stories was rearing to go
With the best posts this week from blogs that you know
The writers knew just what readers were craving
They wrote about ways to increase cash savings
Some other bloggers were quite frugal spenders
Still others gave tips ‘bout dealing with lenders
So Sandy snuggled up with a cup of hot coffee
Some gingerbread cookies and hot buttered toffee
To read all the posts submitted this week
So many posts to read, things were quite bleak
When out in the kitchen arose such a noise
She thought that the puppy was playing with toys
But nope, puppy was upstairs asleep in her bed
Sandy promptly forgot just what she’d read
Sneaking on tip-toes she went to the sound
A jolly fat man in red was just what she found
“Santa?!” she said, since she was surprised
Nope, BF was raiding the fridge she surmised.
Should have known better. On to the Carnival! In the spirit of Christmas, I’d like to focus on giving and being selfless.
