Texas Man Gets $330K Home for $16
Because you just can’t make this stuff up…A Texas homeowner walked away from their home and mortgage. The mortgage company subsequently went out of business. In stepped this Texas man that some are calling a squatter who filed $16 worth of paperwork, walked into the house claiming adverse possession, and if he stays there three years uncontested, will own this house.
Sound crazy? Oh the power of research and little known laws. Is he smart, stealing or squatting? You decide.

I didn’t see the video but if it’s abandoned property then why not. I say he gets it for free. If corporations can be bailed out for no good reason, then someone can get a house for free.
Good for him… he’s just smarter than the sore-loser neighbors.

If he is clever enough to do so, then why not? I would just hope that he is able to keep up the maintenance and not allow it to enter a state of disrepair.
That is an absolute steal. I would love to get a home that cheaply.
Move to Texas and start filing some papers!
I think that woman may be either ignorant or envious, or both. If this man is correct about adverse possession, and he has a right to possession property, then enlightening that woman will excite her envy even more, for she is her 30 year mortgage.
I hope that man gets the house and has a happy, peaceful debt-free life.
she is stuck with her 30 year mortgage.
