Chance To Win Half A Billion Dollars? Yes, Please!

megamillions

My friend Len Penzo does an occasional 100 word or less post, so I’m stealing borrowing his idea for this one. All of your personal finance gurus will tell you that spending money on the lottery, or in this case, the Mega Millions is a waste of time. They’ll say that the odds of winning the big prize (1 in 176 million) makes a losing case for playing, but screw that! I don’t know when I’m ever going to have a chance at being a half-billionaire, but if it’ll only cost me $1, I’m playing, and you should too.

  1. I say go for it!
We budget in playing the lottery every week Lotto Max – one line plus encore! If you don’t play you can’t win!

There has to be a balance in the budget not everything in life has to be measured against profit and loss or compounding… have a bit of fun, stay out of debt and save for the future. If you are doing all those things playing the lottery is not going to break you. Live a Little!:-) Good Luck mate!

Your adsense adblock is covering up part of your post, so I can’t read the whole thing. ;)

I think I plan on buying a ticket as well! Doesn’t hurt to dream

Less than 6 hours to the lottery deadline and I am still resisting buying a ticket. Could that change? Maybe, because I have to go out later. We’ll see!

  5. Hope you bought a ticket. Good Luck!!

  6. That’s funny…I played too…and won $3! I had a 1:70 chance & matched one regular number & the Mega Ball. How about that…

I don’t play the lottery nor do I plan too. I’m just one of those folks who are just not interested. I don’t plan to get filthy rich anyway. Just enough to live comfortably. But good luck to you guys who do!
