Yes, this is late.  We’re more than half way into the month and I am just getting around to writing this.  Now, in my defense, I warned you that Christmas season on my other site would be busy – if I got lucky – and it has been.  Good for me, sucks for this site.

Sleep.  Do you get sleep? I remember sleep.  I used to get like 6 hours every night.  These days I’m down to 3 to 4 hours.  My brother and I are pretty much working around the clock.  You know that old saying, “make hay while the sun shines”? The Christmas season is like Nevada in July.  After Christmas it will be an episode of Deadliest Catch in January.  We’ll be fishing for customers in dangerous waters.

It’s all good though.  Business is going well enough for my brother to rent a small office space.  It’s amazing just how quickly you can out grow your basement.  So, for those of you on the fence about developing a side business, stop hesitating!  Get out there and exploit your talents.  Your side business might just outgrow your regular employment. This post is pretty late by my standards.  I usually have this up on the first of the month, but not having a computer puts a damper on writing things that should go on the internet.  Better late than never, right?

It’s the first of the month, so it’s time again to see how I’ve done with the debt reduction. After last month’s fiasco with the state emptying my bank accounts, I have kept exactly zero in my accounts and have returned to the ice ages of carrying cash and paying individual bills directly with the debtors or through my good friend, the money order. Hey, it’s not sexy, but it works and I don’t have to worry about having my money pulled from under me. I’ve been cashing my physical paychecks (Lord, it’s been ages since I’ve seen one of these things) at the bank that my employer issues the checks from, and I have a credit card with that bank, so it costs me nothing to cash the checks.
