Would you say no to an extra $500 per month? Unless you are wealthy, I doubt that you would. An extra $500 per month would come in handy, especially now since we are in a pandemic. If you do the numbers, $500 a month will amount to $6,000 every year. That is a good amount of extra money to have on the side.
One of the lessons I have learned from those who have achieved financial freedom is that they always have multiple income streams. They are also willing to take the steps that will lead to financial freedom. Have you ever wanted to make an extra $500 per month, but you are not exactly sure how to do so? If that’s you, then you are in luck. Today, I want to go over five things that you can do to help you make an extra $500 per month. If you get good at a couple of them, you probably won’t even have to try them all.
Surveys
You can make a couple of hundred bucks from the comfort of your home by taking surveys. Does it sound unbelievable? It’s not, you just have to take the time and focus on them. You should sign up on websites like Swagbucks, Opinion Outpost, and Survey Junkie. Then you will see that multiple companies and brands are looking for people to take surveys. Feedback is particularly important, so these companies are looking for honest people to take them.
My tip with surveys is to check and see how much you can make before you take the survey. To be honest, if a survey is only paying out $0.25 and takes five minutes to complete, it is a waste of time. I’d shoot for any survey that is paying $1 or higher. Also, check to see if the surveys have any bonuses. If they do, try to complete those as well. That way, you will make money quicker.
Become A Tutor
Are you skilled at a particular subject? Do you think you can help others learn something valuable?
If you love teaching, there are lots of online and offline platforms that are willing to pay you in exchange for your passion. Also, are you skilled at painting, playing the instrument, or even writing? There are lots of people out there who are willing to pay for a tutor depending on what the subject is.
I’d start out telling family and friends about your service. Once it grows, you can start promoting online. Social media sites such as Facebook and Instagram are two places where you promote. You can also put an ad on Craigslist.
Sell On eBay
Next up on this list is one of my favorite side hustles. I love selling items on eBay. I believe that anyone can flip things. You just must start. I can guarantee that you have things that are collecting dust in your house or apartment. You probably also have clothes that you haven’t worn in ages. If you are tired of looking at those items, list them on eBay.
It’s free to set up your account. You can sell almost anything on the site as long as it’s legal. Believe it or not, I’ve been selling on and off with eBay for 10 years. I have been doing consistently now for the last 4 years and love the extra money. I believe that you can do it. If you don’t have items just lying around your house, here is a list that features 45 things you can flip today. You can get started after you finish reading this blog post. It’s that simple.
Become A Virtual Assistant
Working as a virtual assistant has become very popular over the last few years. One reason is because of the rise in online businesses. If you’re a business owner, you know that you can’t do everything. It’s not physically possible. You’re going to get to a point where you need some help. If you’re good at certain things, becoming a virtual assistant can help you make an extra $500 per month.
Businesses need graphic designers, social media managers, and a lot more to help maintain relevance and promote customer engagement. Depending on your skill you may be able to get a lot of work which is a good thing. You will probably have flexible working hours and get paid well too.
Freelance companies like Fiverr or Upwork can connect you to legitimate people who need your service, and your first couple of jobs can land you your first $500, if not more. All you have to do is set up an account on both sites. On Fiverr, you can post your services and people will reach out to you. With Upwork, you scroll through and review potential jobs. If you see something that you qualify for, you can send in a proposal. If your proposal is approved, you can start the job.
Work As A Handyman
Do you enjoy working with your hands? If the answer is yes, you should consider becoming a handyman. You will be amazed at how many people are in desperate need of a good handyman. Something is always breaking or needs to be updated, so if you are good at fixing things, this side hustle is for you. You can make a decent amount of money by helping businesses and individuals to clean their windows, fix broken tiles, tidy their environment, or more. Let them know you are available by promoting your services on platforms like Craigslist and Facebook
As you can see, these side hustles have different skill sets. Some of them are easier than others. I’d review them and figure out which one I could do and then get started. Having a side hustle requires consistency and dedication. I believe that you can do it though. You just must be ready to get to work. Start today and by the end of the month, you may have an extra $500. There are other side hustles out there as well. Just figure out what you like and get to it.
